How to plan a Palentine’s Day play date

On February 13th we celebrate Palentine’s Day – taking a moment to appreciate our great friendships!  Making friends is most important for children as they learn vital life skills, such as building relationships and resolving conflicts, through playing with their friends.

We have the ultimate play date waiting for you at Little Farmers! Enjoy the indoor play area, visit the animals and re-fuel with a delicious and nutritious lunch in the Café!

Read on to find out how to plan the perfect Palentine’s Day play date…

Start off with indoor PLAY!

Play is a big part of how children connect with others, so begin by choosing a pal for your little one to bring along to Little Farmers and strengthen their bond!

Our Timberplay Scotland indoor adventure park is great for cold or rainy days in February – with slides, spinning apples and carrots, climbing frames, a life-sized wooden tractor and a pulley system where the kids can ‘sell’ fruit to one another, plus lots more!

Little Farmers is open 7 days a week, and you can pre-book your Little Farmers tickets in advance of your visit here

This is what one of our visitors had to say on Tripadvisor

“Wow. What can I say – Little Farmers have made the most special place for our kids, everything is so considered and high quality, lovely little touches like the ‘Craigie Hens’ animatronic chickens!”

Say “hello” to the animals

The animal barn is growing by the day at Little Farmers so once your little farmers are all puffed out from the play barn, they can pop along and meet the whole animal gang!

In the barn and around the farm they can get up close to our resident bunnies named Haggis ‘n’ Neeps, our two new cuddly donkeys Ruby and Velvet, pygmy goats, our Clydesdale horse Wendy, Shetland ponies and pigs!

Check out photos of the animals on our Instagram and Facebook pages!

Tasty food in the Café

It would not be Palentine’s day without sharing laughs over a tasty meal – after the little ones have had a dose of fun, the next stop is the Little Farmers Café!

All of our food is homemade on the farm using the best quality ingredients from locally sourced producers or grown here at Craigies! We have a huge range of snacks, light meals, juices and soft drinks and hot drinks for the adults too.

The kids might fancy a full stack of pancakes with fruit compote or crispy bacon and maple syrup in the morning, or for lunch a crispy quesadillas stuffed with either butternut squash & basil or ham & cheese served with a fresh tomato salsa may hit the spot!

We have options to suit gluten free, veggies, vegans, no nuts or any dietary requirement. To see our full range of delicious food and drinks you can view our menu.

We hope your little farmers have a hopping great Palentine’s Day and we can’t wait to see you down at the farm soon!
