Little Farmers is open for fun and adventure seven days a week all year round, except for Christmas and New Year. See our opening and latest entry times below.
Opening Hours:
Monday to Tuesday: 9am to 3pm
Wednesday to Thursday: 10am to 5pm
Friday to Sunday: 9am to 5pm
Last entry is strictly two hours before closing
Festive Opening Hours:
Dec 23rd: 9am to 3pm | Dec 24th – 27th: Closed
Dec 28th – 29th: 9am to 5pm | Dec 30th: 9am to 3pm
Dec 31st – Jan 2nd: Closed
Jan 3rd: 10am to 4pm
*Please note: Little Farmers will be closed every Tuesday throughout January.
Important info:
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible guardian (aged at least 17 or over at all times)
- Little Farmers is located on farmland, so please only wear comfy clothing and sensible footwear that you don’t mind getting muddy!
- We aim to keep our animal petting area open to the public during opening hours but there might be times when we need to close to give the animals a little rest or a vet visit. See our daily schedule to help plan your visit
- Guide dogs are welcome in the indoor play area and in the animal petting area by prior arrangement only – pets are not allowed
- To help keep everyone safe, we reserve the right to refuse admission to any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Who can go to Little Farmers?
Little Farmers has been designed families with children from aged 1 upwards. Adults must accompany children under 15 and all members of a party must pre-book tickets prior to their visit. Book here

What are Little Farmer’s opening hours?
Little Farmers is open every day between 9am and 5pm.
All visitors are required to pre-book a ticket in advance of their visit. We recommend planning a visit of 1-2 hours.
How do I book a table for food at Little Farmers?
There’s no need to book a table in advance at the Little Farmers café but we will ask you to use our online app to view a menu and order food: https://craigies.digitaltable.cloud/

All food is served by our friendly team to your table so you can relax and enjoy your visit!
Do you have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options?
We can cater for a range of dietary requirements including gluten-free and coeliac. We also cater for vegans and vegetarians. Simply ask our member of staff about our daily GF, vegan and veggie options.
Can I bring my own food?
For health and safety reasons, patrons of Little Farmers are not permitted to bring in their own food for consumption with the exception of baby formula and food. We are happy to heat your baby food and formula for you.
Can I take my dog?
Only guide dogs are permitted in the café, shop, play areas and the fruit and vegetable fields. We have a small outdoor ‘canine café’ where dogs can stop with their owners for a rest and a drink of water.
Do you have baby changing facilities?
Yes, we have baby changing facilities at Little Farmers.
Do you run events for schools and groups?
We run special programmes for schools and other groups throughout the year. Please get in touch for more information.
What animals do you have?
Although Craigies Farm is mainly an arable farm, we have a wonderful family of farmyard animals including goats, sheep, Highland coos and Shetland ponies which you can come and see! If you’re lucky, you might even have the chance to feed them. See our daily for more.

Are the shop and café wheelchair accessible?
Little Farmers is spread across ground-level and is wheelchair accessible. We have an accessible main entrance into an open plan café, play barn and outdoor areas. Some of the play area is above ground and cannot be accessed by wheelchair, however, there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed at ground level. Our toilet and handwashing facilities are wheelchair accessible.
